Our Winter Munro's course gives you the opportunity of
collecting as many great winter Munro's as possible in the time available. The
course would suit a keen summer hillwalker, who might also enjoy walking in
these big hills in winter, when
conditions are a bit more serious, daylight hours shorter, and safety lies in
being with another person. We
also cover essential winter skills coaching in navigation. avalanche assessment,
movement with ice-axe & crampons, and managing a typical winter day - food
to take, route planning, gear selection. A shorter day is usually spent halfway
through the week for 'energy conservation' and to cover some of these essential
winter skills in more depth.
