That means you might have some background in winter mountains, but would like to gain some knowledge & experience of climbing on snow & ice in winter. The aim is to produce a safe & competent approach to climbing in winter. with a ratio of only two clients to one Guide, a good level of individual instruction & care can be achieved.  We cover techniques for climbing snow, ice & mixed terrain; choice of equipment; belaying; rope management; snow analysis for avalanche assessment; also, climbing some gullies & buttresses in some magnificent settings - Coire Mhic Fhearchair (Triple Buttress Coire) on Beinn Eighe, one of the most impressive venues in Scotland; the northern Corries of Liathach; the Cold Hole of Fuar Tholl, as well as the six corries of Beinn Bhan.
