Steve Chipperfield, Neil Melville, Monty Gaylor & Chris Riley - on the summit of the Jegihorn 3206.3m.

This was the first day of their Matterhorn course.

Second day, second summit - the Allalinhorn 4027m

Neil, Monty & Chris were successful on their ascent of the Matterhorn
a couple of days later.

Richard Walker & David Simpson on the summit of Mont Blanc du Tacul, 4248 metres.
Richard has kidney failure, and was receiving dialysis from the hospital in
Chamonix prior to & after his ascent.

The second photograph is of Richard & David in the ice-cave entrance in the Aig du Midi lift station, just after the gruelling slog back up there after the ascent.

Lisa Auer is an Australian UIAGM guide, working from Chamonix during the Alpine guiding season. Here guiding Alistair to the summit of the Matterhorn. We started from the Hornli hut at 1am, to beat the crowds at the start of the climb. We were the first parties to the top that day. A Mountainvision picture, taken by Kevin O'Neale.
