The five day course attempts to complete the traverse over two days - with the option to 'do it in one' if individual fitness allows.
The Traverse is physically and mentally challenging. a good level of fitness is essential and some scrambling experience is desirable.
The days before an attempt on the traverse is spent gaining or refreshing the skills necessary to feel comfortable when moving over scrambling terrain with an element of exposure.
The weather has a major part to play in planning an attempt, judging when to start on the traverse is easier given the five day course duration.
